Urban Tree Syndrome

Urban trees provide great environmental, aesthetic, recreational, landscape, social and economic benefits.

They are fundamental and important elements for the landscape of cities, since they are the main climate regulators, help control pollution, they also help to protect basins and bodies of water, there are also other benefits such as landscaping, recreation, cultural and symbolic contribution.

Unfortunately, since they are in urban areas, they can suffer from various diseases and pests, so they must be in constant observation and pay attention to the specimens to know if they present any symptoms of being infected.

The diseases that can present are some nutritional deficiency, chlorosis, low defenses, stress, weakness in both branches and roots or some others caused by bacteria, fungi, or a virus.

Currently 95% of the diseases that attack trees are generated by fungi, although other organisms that attack are also bacteria and viruses.
